SUISSENÉGOCE Marks 20th Anniversary at Geneva Industry Gathering

Swiss commodity trading association SUISSENÉGOCE marked its twentieth anniversary with an industry gathering held in Geneva. The milestone celebration took place under the big top of Circus Knie. Representatives from across the commodities sector convened to recognize the association's two decades of organizational activity.

Executive leadership from trading company Alkagesta attended the formal event in Switzerland. Chief Executive Officer Orkhan Rustamov and Chief Financial Officer Orkhan Zeynalli represented the firm during the evening. Their participation highlighted engagement with the Swiss trade association and the broader commercial network.

The official proceedings commenced with opening addresses delivered by leadership from the organization. President Nicolas Matter and Secretary General Florence Schurch inaugurated the evening's program before the assembled delegates. Their remarks focused on the historical evolution and institutional growth of the industry body.

During the presentations, the speakers traced the trajectory of the association back to its original conception by founders Geert Descheemaeker and Jacques-Olivier Thomann. Over the subsequent twenty years, the organization developed from an initial concept into an established advocacy group for the trading sector. The leadership reflected on two decades of representing the collective interests of the commodity trade.

Secretary General Schurch also emphasized the extensive commercial support structure underpinning Switzerland's commodity trading hub. The address acknowledged the essential contributions of banking institutions, insurance providers, and logistics specialists supporting physical trade operations. Furthermore, the speech highlighted inspection bodies, legal experts, certification entities, educational institutions, recruiters, and consultants active across the market.
