Alkavex Participates in Shanghai Steel and Metallurgy Trade Exhibitions

Alkavex, the specialized steel trading division of commodity group Alkagesta, took part in three major concurrent industrial exhibitions hosted at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from September 21 to 24, 2026. The commercial delegation attended the events during the 2nd China International Steel Week, a flagship convention for the worldwide metals and steel sectors. Senior leadership, including Deputy Chief Executive Officer Nijat Osmanlı and China Business Developer Bayram Bayramli, represented the enterprise across the four-day schedule.

The trading entity focused significant attention on the 24th edition of Metallurgy China, which gathered more than 1,000 corporate enterprises across a 20,000-square-metre venue. This specific expo centered on the global steel sector's ongoing structural shift toward advanced, automated, and environmentally sustainable operations. The platform exhibited novel steelmaking methodologies, modern machinery, updated manufacturing processes, and emerging commercial structures intended to foster cross-border industry cooperation.

Alongside the metallurgical fair, the delegation engaged with participants at the 12th editions of Wire China and Tube China. Both specialised trade fairs were coordinated jointly by the Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute, Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai, and MC-CCPIT. The dual events highlighted manufacturing advances across the international wire, cable, pipe, and tube markets, drawing more than 50,000 professional buyers from around the globe.

The 2026 editions of the wire and tube exhibitions placed substantial emphasis on decarbonised manufacturing techniques and reduced carbon output. In addition, participating exhibitors demonstrated automated systems, digital solutions, and the broadening commercial application of lightweight structural materials across diverse sectors. These technological showcases reflected broader operational trends shaping equipment design and material sourcing throughout Asia and international trade routes.

Throughout the Shanghai convention, Alkavex representatives held direct discussions with international steel mills, industrial equipment builders, logistics contractors, and commercial counterparties. The simultaneous forums enabled the trading division to examine shifting technological standards across Chinese and international supply chains. Ultimately, the multi-event itinerary offered the firm direct exposure to evolving trends in green production and material distribution within the global metals marketplace.
