Alkagesta's steel trading division, Alkavex, attended the Metal Expo Eurasia 2026 exhibition hosted in Istanbul, Türkiye. The gathering marked the eighth edition of the International Steel Products and Production Technologies Fair, taking place between 16 and 18 September 2026. Held at the Istanbul Fair and Congress Centre, the event spanned 42,850 square metres of exhibition space. The venue served as a focal point for worldwide iron and steel market participants, including manufacturers, merchants, and technical specialists across the Eurasian region.

The trading subsidiary was represented on site by its Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Nijat Osmanlı. Across the three-day programme, company leadership engaged in commercial discussions with various sector professionals and corporate representatives. Dialogue focused on the operational transition toward sustainable manufacturing methods, technological transformation across the supply chain, and international trade avenues in the metals market.

The 2026 exhibition was organized around the central theme of 'Smart Steel, Smarter Future.' Agenda items concentrated heavily on the deployment of artificial intelligence into industrial processing, alongside automation and digital tools shaping sector operations. Delegates evaluated how advanced equipment, including robotic cutting mechanisms and Industry 4.0 platforms, is influencing production across the steel value chain.

Beyond processing technology, the fair emphasized international commercial connectivity and global trade routes. Participants examined cross-border transactions linking both east-west and north-south commercial corridors. Market stakeholders utilized the platform to evaluate supply chain relationships and address evolving trade flows across the iron and steel sectors.

For Alkavex, presence at the regional exhibition aligned with its ongoing strategy to expand its commercial footprint across international steel markets. Direct interaction with producers, technology vendors, and peer trading houses remains central to establishing market relationships. The gathering provided an operational venue for the trading firm to evaluate technological developments and interface with global industry counterparties.
