Alkagesta Expands Singapore Bunkering Footprint with H1 Volume Growth
Marine fuel trader Alkagesta has secured a 5% share of Singapore's bunker market, supported by storage capacity at Horizon Terminal and H1 revenue of $1.01bn.

Alkagesta has reported a substantial expansion in its Singapore marine fuels operations during the APPEC 2026 industry gathering. The trading entity has expanded its physical presence in the regional bunkering hub over the past twelve months. These operational updates highlight the firm's strategic focus on securing a stable foothold in Asian energy markets.
Key operational assets supporting this expansion include leased storage capacity at the Horizon Terminal facility. Alongside terminal access, the enterprise developed its distribution activities within the short market to complement physical bunkering operations. These logistical arrangements have enabled the firm to supply approximately 250,000 metric tonnes of marine fuel per month to commercial vessels.
That monthly volume translates to an estimated 5 percent market share of Singapore's total marine fuel sector. Singapore remains the world's largest bunker hub by volume, making sustained market share gains a notable commercial development. The company attributed this operational delivery performance to coordinated infrastructure deployment and localized trading expertise.
Financial and delivery metrics for the first half of 2026 showed substantial increases over historical benchmarks. Total product delivered during H1 2026 reached 1.65 million metric tonnes, marking an approximate 104 percent increase compared to 0.81 million metric tonnes recorded across 2025. Revenue during the same reporting period hit 1.01 billion US dollars, reflecting an approximate 171 percent increase relative to full-year 2025 totals.
Management noted that these operational volumes have yielded improved profitability and enhanced the company's overall capital base. The trading group highlighted that cross-regional collaboration and localized operational desks were central to navigating competitive bunkering channels. Moving forward, the group plans to maintain its infrastructure commitments across key global marine distribution hubs.
