Malta-headquartered commodity trading enterprise Alkagesta has concluded an agreement for a new $15 million financing line. The transaction involves a revolving inventory credit structure established with Maltese banking institution FIMBank Plc. This additional facility strengthens the trading house's operational capacity across energy markets.

Following the completion of this arrangement, the aggregate value of credit facilities available to Alkagesta has surpassed $1 billion. This milestone highlights the merchant's expanding capital base and ongoing backing from commercial lenders. The multi-bank credit framework supports the company's continuous trading and physical commodity flows.

Commenting on the financing, Alkagesta Chief Executive Officer Orkhan Rustamov emphasized the strategic significance of expanding ties with domestic financial partners. Rustamov noted that the transaction with FIMBank represents a notable step in developing Malta's position as a key participant in international energy trade. The executive highlighted that the agreement reflects a sustained commitment to regional and international operations.

According to the firm's formal announcement, the capital provided under the credit line will be utilized to reinforce the company's inventory management strategy. Alkagesta aims to leverage the liquidity to improve supply chain reliability and ensure robust compliance across its operations. Such inventory-backed structures are standard instruments used by commodity merchants to optimize working capital against physical inventory.

The trading house stated that strengthening inventory capabilities directly contributes to broader global energy security objectives. By securing dedicated financing for held stocks, the firm seeks to maintain stable commodity movement across supply networks. Alkagesta announced the completion of the financing agreement in a statement released on Monday.
